Peacock Blue With Gold Accent Vase {DIY}

This peacock blue with gold accent vase is very elegant to decorate any room. And it is very easy to create.Tutorial; here.

I love beautiful and unusual vase that simple at the same time. Sometimes it is important to choose the right vase for the flowers that goes in it. Here an elongated vase is good to put long stem flowers. So I chose Calla Lily. Also the color of the vase must be within the same family of the flowers; if you choose to use colorful vase. I am not an expert florist but I learned from painting for a long time that I could see composition and color a little bit.

A few days a go I started to paint my perfume collection. I am an acrylic mix media artist but lately I love the fluidity, delicate and gentleness of water color. I found that painting with water color is very soothing.

These are my practice water color perfumes. I know I can paint them better next time.

Vintage Muffin Pan Organizer

 Hello,
I hope you had a fantastic week end.

 Our home is still in process of being sold so last Sunday we went out looking for a condo. There is one condo we like. It is twice bigger of our condo right now and it has a small back yard which I am longing to own for as long as I can remember. We already decided which room is my studio and working space; all for me. I can't tell you how happy I am. But we are going to look for more condo in the area to see what's available out there before we decide.

~~~o0o~~~
One thing that I love visiting New Hampshire/Vermont for a medical check up at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center {here} is shopping for vintage items despite enjoying the beautiful scenic hills in the area and the delicious organic food they serve at most restaurant.
Last June when we went there and  the only vintage item I bought was an old muffin pan.
I have not cooked any muffin in it yet but in the mean time I could use it to put  vintage trimmings, ribbons and buttons.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Favorite Friday
Hello,
I can't believe it is Friday already. How time went by so fast! Do you feel that? Or is it just me.
Today I want to share with you my favorite Friday.
1. I think I am seriously into photography. Yesterday I took 2 hours private class to learn how to use my Nikon camera properly. Before I was only use the Manual or Auto mode. Now I can (I think I can) use the aperture, shutter speed and ISO a little. Since I just learned yesterday; it is quite overwhelming. It is a lot to take in in two hours private class. Emily, my teacher was so adorable. We laughed and giggled all the time since it was only her and myself in the classroom. All and all it was worth it and a good class to take. If you live around the area of Manhattan New York; this is a good place to learn more about photography real quick. {here}.
What I am dreaming about lately is this Tamron 18-270 mm. All you need is this one lens; it has everything instead of carrying different lenses. You can scroll down on the link below {here} and watch the video about this lens. I think I am going to wait a little while until I get used to use the aperture, shutter speed and ISO on the camera first before proceed on getting this lens.
2. I love dutch pancake. Dutch pancake is smaller than pancake we know. In Dutch it's called "Poffertjes". I love poffertjes so much and I think I am going to get this poffertjes pan at Amazon {here}. And in case you do not know what  poffertjes is; you can learn about it here.
3. Lately I enjoy painting with water color. My water color set is Sennelier and it is small. Although Sennelier is a good brand I need a new set since mine I own since I was in school. So I do need a new one badly. I heard that Holbein is very good brand for water color. If you interested in buying Holbein water color set; you can find it here.
4. Aaaaghhh....!!! Shoes!! You can never get enough of a pair of shoes right?. Especially these sexy pumps.
Yes, I am into pumps lately.  I think I can wear pumps to anywhere {with different height of heels of course!} The story is; a week a go was our anniversary. Steven told me that I should get a present for myself. In the past Steven bought presents for me but I never liked it. He ended up returning it. And I am not a person who expect an expensive gifts always. I prefer that he bought me a camera lens, a piece of furniture, enrolled me to a good class, etc. Something like that! I have been dreaming about owning a nice pumps. I know I want a Pigalle Christian Louboutin pumps {here} since a long time a go. It took me almost two weeks to get it since I gave myself a lot of thought that do I really want these shoes? I am not a person who need an expensive shoes like this. Since I know, well we all know that many nice shoes cost much less than these. Anyway, Steven said just go get them already! So we went to Saks in Manhattan. Now the shoes is brand new and waiting for the right occasion for me to wear them.
5. This illustration  caught my eye at Pinterest. Sad enough I lost the link before pinning it. So I do not know, who is the artist or from which site it came from. It is pretty and if you happened to know the site; please let me know? Thank you so much for that! Oh I found it just now; here!
That's all Folks!  These are my Favorite Friday. What are yours?
Home Made Anthro Inspired Throw Pillows {DIY}
I am very happy that finally our home is in contract right now. Which means we are half way of selling our home. Since this is a coop; at this point there is no guarantee that we sold our home just yet.  Coop has board members that must approve new buyer. Since everything is going smoothly so far; I can honestly say that we are going to move out from our current home in a few months to come.
I am little bit sad leaving this home since I am very used to everything around this area. It is near the train station to go to Manhattan; 5 minutes walk to the train station and 35 minutes later I am in the middle of Manhattan. But we do need a slight larger home.
As a token of 9 years happy times that we have been spending in this house; I am starting to photograph corners of our home. I thought it would be nice to look back in the future.
At this point there is no reason to upgrade or do anything more in this house since we are going to move out. Still I need  to spruce up a little here and there and enjoy our last moment in our current home.
Today I started out with these throw pillows that I have been wanting to create and finally had time to do it. They were inspired by Anthropologie. They are very easy to make. I included tutorial; here.
Anthropologie Lanai Floor Pillow; here.
I think the tassels need to be larger in comparison to the size of pillows. So if you are going to create tassels for pillow; please consider the size of tassels and with the size of the pillow it self.
Hope you had a fantastic week end.
Happy Monday Everyone!!
How To Make a Tassel {DIY & Tutorial}
  Here is an easy way on how to make a tassel.
What you need;
~ Scissor
~  Threads of your choice
1. Wrap around the thread  on 4 fingers of your hand. The thickness of the tassels is depending on how much is the amount of thread you wrap around your fingers. And the length of tassel depending on how wide you spread those fingers.
2. Then take the threads out of your hand. It should look like a bunch of threads in circular shape like this.
3. Squeeze them together so they look like one long shape of threads together.
4. Fold them in half.
5. Tie with a single thread on one end. Note: you can cut the threads loop on the other end if you like to make a fringe tassel.
Note; this is a simple way how I do mine. You can do  it your way but this just the basic idea.
Now you got yourself 'a tassel'!
